Masad argues that modern AI tools lower the barrier to entry so significantly that business leaders can translate their vision directly into code. This shift allows for rapid prototyping without the traditional bottleneck of waiting for engineering resources. However, while this democratization speeds up ideation, critics argue it creates technical debt. The consensus appears to be that while AI empowers founders to build MVPs faster, skilled engineers remain essential for scaling those prototypes into robust, secure production-ready applications.
