A recent lawsuit has revealed disturbing allegations against former Google CEO Eric Schmidt. Court documents unsealed in the aftermath of a legal battle with his ex-mistress, Boriana Yongberg, accuse the tech billionaire of sexual assault and physical battery. The complaint alleges Schmidt raped Yongberg during a trip to the British Virgin Islands and subjected her to controlling behavior and surveillance during their relationship.
These allegations, which Schmidt strenuously denies, originally surfaced in a complaint regarding a text-messaging patent, but the details have only now become public following Yongberg’s death by suicide in 2022. The lawsuit claims that Schmidt utilized his vast technological resources to monitor Yongberg’s location, raising significant questions about privacy and power dynamics within the tech industry.
