Volvo is kicking off 2025 by teasing its upcoming midsize electric SUV, the EX60, set for a full reveal on January 21st. The standout feature is undoubtedly the impressive range: drivers can expect up to 400 miles on a single charge (or 810km WLTP), marking a massive leap over the brand’s previous EV offerings.
Beyond just battery life, the EX60 represents a manufacturing milestone for the automaker. It will be the first Volvo vehicle to utilize a new megacasting production process. This technique is designed to reduce the vehicle’s overall weight while significantly improving structural efficiency.
While we await the full specs, the EX60—alongside the upcoming ES90 sedan—signals Volvo’s aggressive push to eliminate ‘range anxiety’ and compete with top-tier EVs through advanced engineering. Expect more details to emerge during the official debut next week.
