Amazon is making major waves at CES this year by fundamentally rethinking the living room experience. First, the company is taking direct aim at the ‘TV as art’ market with the launch of its proprietary Fire TV Artline televisions. These sets feature stylish, integrated frames designed to blend seamlessly with home décor, positioning Amazon as a direct competitor to Samsung’s ‘The Frame’ series.
Beyond hardware, Amazon is unveiling a massive software overhaul for the Fire TV interface. The new update promises a content-first approach that prioritizes the user’s media library over generic app grids. Amazon claims this redesign will lead to significantly easier and speedier navigation, reducing the time it takes to get from the couch to the streaming content.
These moves signal Amazon’s intent to dominate not just the streaming sticks, but the premium television hardware market as well.
